WHY BE A PARTNER?

Schools in America need our help. The increase in school violence, bullying and other antisocial behavior is a disturbing sign that something needs to change. Our schools are working hard to teach children, but youth cyber-bullying, suicide, social stress and mental health issues are real and overwhelming problems for students and educators.

Parents, community members and educators recognize the problem and want a solution. While most programs that address school violence and bullying are sporadic and focus on the middle-school years, we believe a more comprehensive, proactive – not reactive – approach is needed. The C.A.R.E. program is designed to start with the youngest students and empower them to begin creating a culture of compassion within their school. It begins with kindergarten and first grade students and follows them through grade five.

HOW DO PARTNERS HELP SCHOOLS?

Because federal and state budgets are limited, not all schools or their districts will have the funds to participate in the C.A.R.E. program and need our help. Heartstrings Publishing wants all children in America to be able to access C.A.R.E. and create a culture of compassion, so we are committed to offering the program at a very low cost and helping schools through our own profits. But our efforts will not be enough.

We need partners to join us and build a community of care around each school. Partners can help by providing direct sponsorship to schools – donating funds or offering services that will sponsor and enrich the C.A.R.E. program at each school.

WHAT IS THE COST OF C.A.R.E?

The Program begins with the youngest students. Kindergarten and first-grade classrooms will each receive a packet including four C.A.R.E Unit Guides, a C.A.R.E. Master Duplication Booklet, C.A.R.E. Weekly Games and C.A.R.E. Unit/Weekly Posters.

Each C.A.R.E. kindergarten and first-grade packet will be offered for the low price of $250 per classroom. This includes all materials needed to implement the C.A.R.E. CURRICULUM with the exception of copying paper and classroom supplies teachers and students are required to have on hand.

Heartstrings Publishing is committed to also finding caring organizations and businesses that will offer free materials and services to enrich the C.A.R.E. experience for students in each community.
